Welcome to the Ray Ainsworth website. Ray is one of the world's most unique horse teachers. As he says "The first thing I would like to tell you about myself is that I do not train horses. I teach horses and allow them to learn. I have found that through using communication and not violence, horses learn faster and retain the information longer."

Ray's whole approach is based on the fact that horses have a language. It is mostly non-verbal, but it is a well-developed language, capable of communicating a wide variety of messages. All horses know it - and you can learn it. If you've ever seen Ray working with a horse, you know how amazing it is to see the animal relax and change personality before your eyes - when he realizes that there's someone who understands and can communicate with him.
